ABOUT ALBERT FALLS
Established in 1976 on the Umgeni River is situated a beautiful Earth fill dam, just outside Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal. Built with the purpose of Irrigation and Domestic use by the Department of Water Affairs.
With a gross capacity of 290.1 million cubic meters and a surface area of 23.521 square kilometres, with the dam wall at 33 metres high, we find the Albert Fall Dam Reservoir.
